I'm planning to play hardcore music.

i dont know what guitar should i get.

please give me the brand and name of guitar.

thanks alot

get a humbucker guitar, youll need it
if you want fast necks, get an Ibanez
if you want killer shapes, get a bc rich
if you want bang for buck get a schecter
if you want to be like slash get a lp!

haha

get the guitar that feels comfortable to you. we only can give advice to you. you are the player. get one which you think you are comfortable playing with. and most of the soundwork is produced from amps so if you have a very good guitar with a crappy 15 watt amp it will bring you nowhere. but if you got an average guitar with a amp like say a roland cube 30x or 60x or a line 6 spider 3 30 watt or 75 watt amp, your on your way to hardcore rockstardom.LOL

Where to get those amps and how much they cost?

if you have the patience, you can get the roland cube 30x at swee lee during their sales. it will prolly cost around 200-300 since it has a built in rectifier and effects.for a line 6 spider 3 i'm not so sure.

ibanez has one one of the thinnest necks
bc rich has mostly killer shaped guitars
schecter i not so sure.
slash uses a lespaul and it churn out fat tones.

sian. this type of what guitar to get thread come out countless of times.

oh ya if you're still a beginner,i suggest you getting a cheap starter pack. once you become bbetter, save up for a better guitar and amp. hahaha

Its best that you do a basic research on the different type of Brands that provide which type of guitar or their basic specs and stuff.

Some basic information:

Ibanez is well known for their thin necks on their guitars and their more popluar guitars will be the super-strat shaped RGs and S-Series guitars. They often coming with Floating Bridges which allows you to do crazy whammy stuff and is often a hindrance when coming to drop tunings. So if your hardcore music varies in guitar tunings, steer clear from the floating bridge guitars.

Gibsons and Epiphone are more well known for their Les Paul guitars, which are single cuts. They have a thick and chunky neck and is very bloody heavy haha. However the tones produced is very err, saturated and thick too due to its mass. These Les Pauls have Fixed Bridges in contrast to the majority of the Ibanezs. These means you can do drop tunings easier. However their thick neck might pose a problem to those with smaller hands. You can try checking out the SG shaped guitar too.

B.C. Rich make guitars that are more radical in shape such as the Mockingbird or the Warlock, just to name a few. Their bridges varies from fixed bridges to schaller or even floating trems and the neck is not as thick as the Les Paul. Their guitars normally has humbuckers and they are often a choice for many metalheads or people who play the heavier genres.

Schecter has many different models and like what the other softie said its " bang for buck" . It is normally value for the price and its bridges too varies, and normally has humbuckers in them. One feature to look out in stock Schecters is the Coil Tap function which allows you to split the coils in the humbucker into single coils to give you much more tones and vesatility.

So in short,

You want a nice guitar to hold and shred, make "crazeee nooises" , alternate pick, do crazy virtuoso stuff, get an Ibanez.

Want a guitar with nice fat tones and deep chugga tones, get the LesPaul.

Want extreme attention on stage get the B.C. Rich because of its killer looks, and its pointy-ness

Or want something value for your money get the Schecter,
I think thats what the other sofies meant.

Hope this helps man....

Overall i think the Les Paul will be a good choice i guess...

not any. from what i've heard the most extreme ends of guitars are a lp and a strat. almost everything else fall inbetween.
a strat will never give anything like a lp and a lp will never give anything like a strat.

hmm les paul. okay.
ibanez seems a good choice too.

any design in mind? or design i like can liao?

price range?

hey,
u can try a low end epiphone, cause the high end ones would be too precious and u wont want to get them injured playing hardcore..
anyway, try to get a epiphone les paul special or standard..
it is easier to put duct tape on the guitar to do spins and such..
also if u thrash it, also not so heart pain
u can easily find one of these around soft for about 200 for special, 400 for standard..

if ur budget is too low for an epiphone, u can try to find epiphone copies.. maybe craftsman or something

hope this helps :)

good luck playing hardcore

ps: damian from For Better Endings uses a epiphone les paul special.. i think :)
