Hey softies, i have been savin up and have alr saved up around 600.but i will still be saving up.and i want to know what guitar's sound is nice.it would be better if it has a floyd rose bridge.and i listen to bands like (from most to least)
Avenged Sevenfold,All that remains and Slipknot.so please recommend me some nice guitars ^^ thanks for your time~

Gibson custom shop ES-335 with bigsby , best for playing heavy metal with that kind of budget . haha but seriously , go window shopping then try out , consider a few models then come back and ask . If you really are into guitars i'm sure you won't be too lazy to go recce around

Try the Ibanez RG321mh. Fixed bridge though. But you'll get more sustain if you're going to down tune a lot.

To me, it's the BEST beginner's/budget guitar to own if you're playing rock or metal.

Main deal i think is still the distortion unit/amp you're using. Even a Kirk Hammett signature guitar is not going to get good tones out of a (maybe) SX amp.

I recommend getting the amp, Micro Cube or Cube 30X by Roland. If you're looking for distortion pedals, I have a Boss Metalcore pedal that i'm selling.

PM me if you're interested.

recommendation for guitar

hey,

judging from the bands that you listen to, you would probably want a guitar with humbucker on it to get the thick rock distortion sound instead of the more glassy/hollow single coil tone.

ibanez guitars are quite popular in the metal genre. the RG series are solid guitar with humbuckers, suitable for metal, and on top of that, they often come with floyd rose bridge for crazy whammy actions

esp/ltd are also for metal guitarists and they have a wide selection of guitar that maybe suitable for you.

apart from the guitar, of course you need a proper amp as well to match the power of the guitar : ].

go around guitar shops and try out different guitars until you find the right one because ultimately you'll be playing it and you have to like the sound of it to play it continuously

i was thinking of buying a roland cube 30X..how much does it cost at swee lee?and i'm currently thinking of buying an Ibanez RG350DX but no idea where can find.and my amp is an Behringer V-tone GM108 amp.15 watts.

A Roland cube would be great. With it's onboard effects, you don't have to worry about getting pedals yet. ;)

Which Swee Lee did you go to? Have you gone to the Aljunied branch to check out?.

i went to the bras basah swee lee.i got the namecard of the aljunied branch.haha.but scared ah later walk walk missing alr become in the 1st episode of Incredible Tales season 3

Don't be scared. Nothing will go wrong. ;)

You should call Swee Lee up and ask for the price and stock for the Roland cube and RG350.

Highly recommend the Cube for the amp, should sound reasonably good for anything you play, plus the built-in effects might come in useful. You might wanna check out Ibanez and ESP/LTD for your guitar, but I hope you know what you're getting into with the FR. If you're set on getting a floyd rose, there are a few that you should avoid. (I'm sure there's a list somewhere) Some of these compromise tuning stability, and aren't really worth it for the trouble. Recommended bridges are the Gotoh LFR, and the Ibanez ZR / ZR-2. The floyd rose also makes simple things like tuning your guitar more complicated, but if you're willing to put up with that for the sake of having a cool trem, then by all means go for it :)

Dont spend too much on your 1st guitar yeah.. Practise till you think you should own a good guitar and then upgrade urself and ur guitar :)

my parents just bought me a Behringer El toro guitar package..the guitar looks like a stratocaster and the amp is the V-Tone GM 108 amp.. is it good?

For a beginner set it should be ok..the most important thing is to get your basics and everything right first then worry about your gear! I'm currently practicing on my squier strat, saving for another guitar end-of-year xD

its not about what is good, rather its about which guitar suits u most.
so get ure hands busy and try every strat or lp u se in the shope, if you find it comfortable, and the sound great, u probably should go with that guitar, and as u progress, ure musical style would path the way on which kinda guitar u use, a floyd rose equipted one or not.

a sweelee salesperson told me this before, haha
it killed my dreams of getting a gibson, but um thankful, cos now i find les pauls not to my liking

600 dollars leh. wad gibson es335? just go for a squier strat lar. if u beginner dun need so good guitar right? buy 200-250dollar than practice. after u think u can proceed on, go for the real fender itself.
just my 2 cents worth.

A guitar stuffed with EMG probably be loud enough..(though Mick Thompson changed to Seymour lately)
If you want whammy.. it's definitely an ibanez.. LoL--For a long run get a decent bridge.. Edge3 on 350DX is not so ideal yet.. Try ZR, but it's only available for S-Series.. how about edge pro..
If this is your first time with all these stuffs.. You'll have fun tuning it =D
(And DO it yourself.. dun let someone do it for you.. so you know how to fix it just-in-case)
PS.Im sellin' LesPaul with EMGs haha.. PM if you feel that there's a need for mahogany instead of basswood XD

LOL judging from what he listens to. Schecter with s.d invader p.u. It'll make you go, "He who makes a beast out of himself...".

Shitcan the idea of a fender unless you're sure you know how to tweak it. I'd recommend a Jackson, but abit out of your budget, I suggest you go down to guitar connection, look for Kelvin, he'll help you for your first guitar, if you want, I can follow you down. On the 18th after my As
