2nd hand is a good choice if you can find....
If not..you can go for Pearl Target or Rhythm Traveller....or Peace Demolition
(lotsa good reviews about it and real good price even for brand new)...Gretsch Black Hawk......
Perhaps can try SweeLee sales this coming weekend.....

Pretty much the same kits would be mentioned.
I'd say go for the Peace Demolition, brand new.
But if you're a brand whore, go for the lower entry Pearls like the Targets Forums and Rhythm Travelers.
Swee Lee would be a good alternative to get your drumset, but you'd definitely need to have transport if not you're screwed.
