What can i get for $500 for beginner player?

If its you're 1st bass i suggest you get it 1st hand from davis guitar / standard value e.t.c brands like Ltd and timbre would suit your budget. if i were you i'll get a 2nd hand amp which is much affordable and within budget.

This. Their guitars are pretty good for their pricing.

If really tight on budget, i suggest you get a stagg fusion bass. abt $350 and it sounds and feels better than the price. For amp, second hand ones will do from the left over of $150. Personally, i dont have an amp but run it through my multi effects cos my mom scold when it gets to late. I think Vox has the preamp thing where you can plug it in to your bass and run it out through earphones. i think less than 150 can get you a new one.
