Hi all, looking to create a wet-dry setup for my amps, but since I'm new to this style, hoping that some of you who know more about it could give some advice.

1) What are the components need to create this set up? eg. splitters, or whatever is used send the dry signal into the wet.

2) Should the wet amp be set on clean or overdrive?

3) should the wet and dry amp be the same type? like vox and vox, or jcm 800 and jcm 800?

and is there anything else i need to know for this kind of set up?

Thanks:)

1) You need an aby box.

2) The meaning of dry and wet setup in the most simplest form in term of sound processing

dry- Unprocessed signal
wet- Processed signal

3) Dry and wet signal is always in term of signal uprocessed/processed. It doesnt matter what amp or brand or instrument. You can use same amps, different amps etc.

As long as one path is with your unprocessed geetar signal output from amp 1 and the other path, processed geetar signal out from amp 2(with distortion, modualtion effects and so on), you have a dry/wet config

Additional things to read up on, ground lift for dual amp set up, signal phasing(in/out phase) when combining signal and the effect of ground loop, signal out of phase etc
