i once did a wedding song dedication with my friend before. the song was Amazed by Lonestar, quite fun haha.

another time i played guitar while the wedding singer sang When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating, was quite stressed at that time because still quite noob on guitar.

but most of the time i play bass

all the best for this Sat, bro!

kdash - thanx ...

one of the most unique wedding singing expiriences I ever had was when I sang at aquanaut's church wedding.

i sang the beatles "Here, there & everywhere" JUST AFTER THE COUPLE EXCHANGED their vows are were walking away from the alter. It was just me & my classical guitar (miked of course).

About half way through the song, THE CHURCH BELLS STARTED RINGING...

basket ... the bridge, last verse etc was all drowned out ... :(

haha when the church bells started ringing, you should whip out your electric and convert the song into rock style!

kdash - hahahahaha .... afterthat later that nite aquanaut had his reception at a major hotel WITHOUT BANDS - only mobile disco paying .. believe it or not ...70S DISCO MUSIC ... for all to dance & party ..wahahahaha .. it was great fun!

waa that's cool man! better than those wedding receptions where everyone just sits around and talk haha.

hmm maybe i can consider doing this for my wedding in the future... 80s dance hits...

Good luck this sat fgl~~

I haven't tried performing at weddings, most of the time the couple has their own kaki to perform for. Or the typical bangra / malay dangdut type DJ set up..

I know I want to perform in my own wedding tho :P It's gonna be a mini-gig cum wedding WOOHOO

Prima Towers & Fort Canning Legends

By the way, i'm more to the Asian Pop kinda guy.

Years ago i remembered performing in the revolving restaurant of the Prima Towers top level, damn amazingly every interval we step off the stage we can't find our table to sit  That night the couple were even sporting enough to come on stage for a duet.

Another gig was with a 5 piece band n two singers (incl. me) at Fort Cannings The Legends. It feels great singing there and i remembered the finale songs were Li Hom's Forever Love and Jacky Cheung's Ai Shi Yong Heng (Love Is Eternal), specially dedicated to the couple. Those were great memories.

I'm a vocalist!

hey everyone,

I'm interested in doing wedding gigs. Anyone interested in hiring me? If you do know of people I can contact regarding these kind of gigs do let me know too, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

oh..

I'm just starting to sing for weddings though I've performed some places before..

Are you a wedding singer also?

how much do you think I should ask?

Yeah price varies....I always never get paid because all the wedding I sang for are all for friends who got married as they say 'Member punya pasal!' But the furious one is always my wifey if she got to know no money involved. Hehehehe!!

try out as a singer for bro Tetra's band first - of coourse free when you start out then later as gigs come ...can charge more lah ...

I make an average $350 - $400 for wedding gigs for 3 sets.

More for festive periods

hey yeah i did do a few sets for weddings before....of cos for friends its usually just a dedication ....

but its fun to be involved in setting the mood for other peoples weddings!!! i feel like 3 sets go by so quickly.....and at the end i just wish to sing or play some more.....
