Well, im planning to change my RG stock pups wif a better ones(HSH config.). The stock pups(INF3/4) are too noisy and muddy 2 me. Any suggestion on which brand/model (pups) that suit well with an Ibanez solid basswood body /rosewood fingerboard?
Im lookin 4 those pups wif high output but still retain clarity n gud sustain.I mostly played 80s Hard Rock/Heavy Metal type of music as a hobby.
Plz recommend n thx 4 reading.

:D Peace Out...

first of all whats your amp? dont make a mistake like me, upgrade here upgrade there, but still using some 100 dollar johnson amp. people who say good tone come purely from finger is smoking! i tot i enter nirvana when i plug in a peavey classic, on top of that its in a boutique group! imagine plugging in a boutique amp, i think i can orgasm in half a second

HAHAHAHAHAHA. first they ask crap questions in the guitar gear forum. now it has migrated here. wat pickups would sound great in an rg so can play metal? how abt wat food u can eat for lunch so ull be satisfied?

awesome! noob levels reaching beyond high. *warning warning*

Hi agn,currently I'm using Marshall 15w amp n Boss's Metal Zone n DDelay pedals.
Thx for ya opinion, really appreciate em'.Sry for e crap but honest Qs.Hope I'm not offending or disturbing anything or something coz I think I'm just asking for opinions in this community forum.Sry agn.

ah ok since i see the sincerity in asking i shall stop being the usual ass that i am ahaha and actually help u out abit. ok contrary to popular belief that since u are doing lots of gain work ull need high output pickups, u dont. rather u need something with just moderate output. i suppose u would want to get something of the 80s tones so a nice mid rich pickup should be fine, something like dimarzio super distortions or paf pros. trick is to distort the sound post guitar rather than to get high output pickups which dont clean up well and have low clarity.

and well yes like the rest have pointed out, having a good amp also plays a part, i might wanna just suggest that u change ur dist pedal, go save up for something like an MI Audio tubezone, something tweakable cos another fault in the sound u dont like most likely comes from the metal zone, it doesnt really have much usable tones, esp if paired with a solid state amp and really small speakers. hope this helps and next time if u have further queries do post it in the guitar gear forum instead thanks.

IMO, the mt2 is crap, modded or not. and yes, though the MI Audio tubezone is rather on the high side, it's worth every cent you spend on it. or you could get the Sansamp GT2. affordable tone for the everyday guitarist. 8)

hello agn, thx everybody for the opinions n recommendations. Now at least wif the helps, esp. from penta I hv better vision n direction on how to improve my sounds. nex time I'll post at the correct forum.sry bout that.
K C ya agn ...Ciao

acknowledging the suggestions here is 50% of tone nirvana, the other 50% being your effort in actually trying them in person & embrace the one you like.
