hi all;
am looking to replace the neck/fretboard of my old yamaha 912j. now, i don't have the faintest clue as to what necks are out there or even what u call em, and this being my first foray into 'mods', so, all advice is much appreciated.
basically, am looking for a shallower one, with smaller fret wires and a maple fingerboard.
questions are;
1) how much??
2) who can do this?
3) should i do this? will it complement my guitar? anything to look out for?

i hate the jumbo fret wires and rosewood board now. i played a maple/thinner neck at guitar connection and loved it (was a fender). wished my yamaha could have the same feel. so, thot i could replace it.

awaiting ur replies/advice. cheers!

Take your guitar to guitar connection and let kelvin take a look. He might be able to offer you some advice or help you out with the mods.

hmmm, now why didn't i think of that? lol.
but seriously, short of doing that, any idea how much the whole job might cost? cos if too much might as well get a 2nd hand fender...hehe.

yeah kinda figured the cost of the replacements might not be worth the while already. hmm. guess i'll juz save up a little more and get a 2nd hand...
