AUDITION NOTICE: THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES
The Emperor is naked. But will any one notice? Will anyone dare to speak up?
We are auditioning for our 2015’s pantomime, The Emperor’s New Clothes.
Directed by Pam Oei (Dim Sum Dollies) with a script by Joel Tan (Family Outing) and songs by musical director Julian Wong, this exciting new production will feature a cast of young musical talents, including Benjamin Kheng (The Sam Willows) and Linden Furnell (Next To Normal).
We are looking for multi-talented performers who can sing, act, dance and play a musical instrument. The ability to play at least one musical instrument is essential.
The tentative production schedule will be as follows:
Rehearsal: 5 Oct to 15 Nov 2015 (Mon-Sat, 10:00am to 6:00pm)
CD Recording: 19 Oct to 23 Oct 2015
Bump in: 16 Nov to 19 Nov 2015
Show: 19 Nov to 13 Dec 2015
If you can commit to all of the above dates/times, you may apply to audition on:
• 12 October 2014, Sunday (12pm – 10pm)
• 33 Kerbau Road, Singapore 219166 (off Serangoon Road, nearest MRT station: Little India)
You will be required to sing, play your instrument of choice, and do some improvisations
We will be assessing your acting and musical skills, as well as your ability to connect with a live audience, which is essential in a pantomime. You will also be given a scene to prepare ahead of the audition.
