Vox DA15/20 vs Pathfinder 15/15R vs AD15VT

Looking at the Vox website, the major difference between these three are the additional effects available on the DAs/ADs. Which means more things for beginners to play with, which well, means more fun.

Then again, AD15VT seems more loaded with features, being able to mimic (so I think) a tube amp to get the tube sound while remaining versatile for all genres.

Which makes the Pathfinder somewhat less desirable, although it looks cuter than the others.

So, has anyone tried these amps? I'm personally leaning towards the AD15VT, but I welcome more opinions.

Costwise, I believe they're similar?

Thanks.

I think pathfinders are cheaper.
I've never tried a pathfinder, but I tried the AD15VT. It's good, the effects aren't too bad aswell plus it has 1 TUBE! 1 TUBE!!!

You still gotta try both out, see which one you like more though.

i have a pathfinder. awesome cleans. or isit that all vox amps have great cleans?
no idea. never tried many amps before. but i dare say the pathfinder is worth the kaching. try looking for it at buy/sell section. saw a few for sale recently.

and oh oh. it never hurts to try all the amps urself!

I owned the ad30vt before and now currently own the pathfinder. advts has all the effects, amp modelling and stuffs which i find, does it job but still sound a bit not to my taste. Whereas the pathfinder cleans is definitely very good and it takes pedals pretty well but the onboard distortion cannot make it. Depends on what u want, if u want tonnes of features get the advts, if u want nice cleans get the pathfinder.

Vox Pathfinder FTW

I'm not really a fan of modeling type of pedals and amps so 15R would be my choice. This thing is seriously loud for cleans but the reverb is not that good compared to tube amps (of course) ;)

Thanks for the comments.

Well, being a noob guitarist with a limited budget, the effects provided seem to appeal more to me to experiment with without busting the bank on pedals.

Or I could use a multi-fx. The best thing to do is still to try them out for myself eh?
