Volume Pedals

Hi, could anyone recommend a low cost and effective volume pedal?

I am looking at a volume pedal that can adjust my volume levels effectively eg, softer when singer gets drowned out louder when my lead lines have to cut through and volume off during long pauses.

I think volume swelling effects are not that crucial to me but it would b a plus

Visual sound visual volume seemed like a really good volume pedal due to the led indicator. However it just seems too expensive and bulky.

Any recommendations ?

Yeah, most popular guitarist are using Ernie Ball volume pedal but I think you can't get wrong with a BOSS as well...
