Voice sucks, how?

hey man it aint that bad man. ive honestly heard super horrible ones like ten times worst than hung the man himself.
what u need is some practise and some ENTHUSIASM MAN ! u sound like ure forced to sing or smth.
However, u don have a very high pitched voice, so try sticking to songs that are more suited to ur tone and pitch. u got the kinda rough voice which is kinda good for certain songs.
but hell man, just sing whatever u wanna sing and do whatever makes u happy !

hmm dont think your voice is really that bad.. it's just that you lack projection and you need to learn how to use your vocal folds....

I can't really help you cause i'm still learning too.But if you want, i can intro you to my vocal trainer. He's that kind who can teach ppl how to sing classical or broadway music..but his techniques can still be applicable to the pop genre as well..Interestingly, he used to teach worship leaders in my ex-church haha.$60 per hour

wow..haha...im not a vocalist actually, just a lead guitarist, but the thing is, i want to at least have my right to not get disgusted at my own voice when i sing casually as i practice. So i guess i wont be taking any lessons for now, n i dun have $60 an hour kind of money to spare... thanks for all the advice guys! pls tell me if there is anything i can do about it...thanks!

anyway, slur is like when u r drunk, u tend to slur ya words..ermmm..i dunno exactly know how to describe it ah..so i suggest u listen to how a drunk would talk..make kenneth or hafiz drunk then u observe how they talk.. :twisted:

Nobody has an ugly voice. Please remember that. Your voice is just unique that others dun have. So, call it a blessing. In the pop music scene, what record labels are looking for is someone with "x" factors, that other singers dun have. This can be personality, looks and voice.

So dun be discouraged!

i hav the same problem as MichaelAngelo. im not confident with my voice. really flat and monotone. i tried to do some exercises. jump around and all that before singing. but i still sound the same. my voice is low and dull. do u think vocal training can help me?

thats is why not everyone can be a singer...it needs talent with proper training...some are not born singers.Not everybody could sing high pitch..For you maybe can learn singing but that doesnt mean you could sing high pitch.It all depends on characteristic of your voice.If you force it with wrong technicque...you might get a sore throat or even worse than that....If you really dont like the characteristic of your voice than too bad...maybe try other things besides singing.Ive got a fren who wanted to a rock singer with a high pitch,but his instuctor told him that he cant...he is more suitable for pop music...and can only sing at certain kind of pitch...
