how to improve vocal stamina? sometimes, if i'm doing a long set, after a songs with high keys, i lose my voice for a while.... after the set, afetr a few minutes, it comes back..... i drink water regularly during the set...... any suggestions?
Vocal stamina comes from learning to use the right muscles to sing. If you use the wrong muscles you will tire yourself out, find yourself out of breath and lose your voice.
Remember singing is about getting the maximum result for the minimum effort. If you keep practising using the wrong muscles or the wrong technique, there will be no chance of improvement.
We have a teacher in Singapore who would be perfect for you. She used to perform professionally 7 to 8 hours a night, 6 and 7 days a week. Is this the kind of vocal stamina you would like to develop? If so give her a call -her name is June Young and her phone is 6356 7985. If you'd like to know a bit more about her please visit this website http://www.howtosing.com.au
