I use the Workhorse Stallion. Very good with multi-efx units. In my opinion, sounds best with the amp and cabinet simulators switched on because it is very neutral.
The Stallion is 60W with 2 x 12 inch speakers. I didn't ask the seller how he brought it into Singapore. Doesn't seem to be available in any of the shops here.
Think of the grills as the rims of sports car wheels instead. Those things are responsible for keeping the sound quality consistent up to 180 degrees angle (meaning even when you move away from the amp and around the stage).
I've been thinking of getting one of these but I haven't seen any shops here bringing it in lately... Gonna try it with my multi effects when i see one in stores.
I've been interested in them for a while now, wishing there could be more amps out there (especially 100-watters) that specialize in cleans, especially for those like me who rely on pedals for drive and effects .
I like the idea of Combos, though. G77 deals Visual Sound stuff but not sure if they bring in the Workhorse amplifiers.
