Hello all. Has anyone owned both the visual sound route 66 and the jekyll and hyde pedals ?
How does the overdrive compare. are they alike ?
For e.g if i have the route 66 do i just have to get the Son of J
and if i have the Jekyll and Hyde pedal, do i just nid to get the Visual Sound Comp 66? since i already got the overdrive from the J and K.

Well i've tried all 3. The Son of Hyde, the Route 66 and the Jekyll And Hyde and i've used them all together. The overdrive on the Route 66 i would say for me, tonally is better and more 'open' as compared to the Jekyll and Hyde but the Jekyll and Hyde's overdrive is also very very naise :D. The Son of Hyde cleans up very well aswell to get a nice overdriven sound albeit ABIT heavy :). I'm not sure if there IS a Son of Jekyll hahaha. But if you look at it that way, the Route 66 + the Son Of Hyde typically means you have Jekyll and Hyde + Compression. :)

But why only Visual Sound if you dont mind me asking

Sorry i say wrong. is Son of H.
Btw i wanted to add on Whats the diff between V1 and V2 but i cant edit. cannot update post.
I was thinking of the J and K for a long time. then came the GAS for the route 66 and i was thinking if i cld just get one then get the lacking effect. So far it seems like visual sound has a lot to offer. and there are quite 2nd hands on the classified.
I am also looking for the pedal that gives me the Saturated sound.
And i was thinking does comp do the same as earthing my amp?

earthing your amp is not the same as what a compressor does to your tone. earthing your amp just makes it less noisy because it reduces hum. compressing your tone is a totally different thing altogether.
