Hi All,
I would like to give you a brief introduction to my background as a music teacher for your reference. I graduated with honours from Britain's prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD). I have been a performer since the tender age of 9. My teachers included the late world-renowned Issac Stern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Stern_) and Lin Yao Ji (http://www.linyaoji.com/) in China, and Kam Kee Yong (http://www.kamkeeyong.com/) in Singapore. I was catapulted from the position of 1st violinist and rotating concert master from 1985 to 1991 with the Singapore Youth Orchestra. I have also participated in several internationally renowned musical festivals -- one of the most noted being as a guest solo violinist in the Aspen Music Festival during the late 1990s while performing with UBS Verbier Orchestra as 1st violinist. I have experienced in coaching both adults and children and also include children with learning difficulties. My classes are all one on one, unlike music schools.
I am offering a holistic music development with passion for all ages, including MUSIC ELECTIVE PROGRAM (MEP) for secondary school and JC level, 'O' Levels & 'A' Levels:
COURSE STRUCTURE
For beginners (4 to 8 yrsold): Suggested general music lessons rather than instrument specific, to explore a repertoire. Able to teach with cello, violin and piano. Flexible & dynamic teaching.
MEP/'O' Levels/'A' Levels Music: Specializing in violin and piano and theory, to be learnt together with ABRSM Grade 6 theory
Have coached students from Dunman High, ACS Independent, Tanjong Katong Girls School, Methodist Girls School, CHIJ St Nicholas, Temasek JC, SOTA, NAFA.
Also have trained students from international schools: Canadian International School, American International School.
Have notes and past year exams and ‘O’ Level exam papers to best prepare for exams.
PASSION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS!
Music lessons will be guided with other mediums such as music documentaries, composer movies and opera concerts, in order to understand the context and background of music learnt.
