For sale;

1977 Gibson Les Paul Standard and Bill Lawrence 'Blade' Pickups.

Beautiful natural Maple top, matching Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard and solid (no chambering) Mahogany body.

Tuners have been swapped out at some point for Schallers.

Guitar is in great condition but being 30 year old, it has been played;

The top has micro-dings here and there only really noticable when guitar angled into the light. The back has light buckle rash in parts.

In a couple of places there have been small repairs, probably due to larger dings - one repair is next to the volume (has been filled in using a darker wood) and there is another on the back of the neck. The one on the back of neck is flush so you can't feel it while playing. A tiny bit laquer has worn of on off around the repair area, but again, un-noticable whilst playing and easily fixed with a touch-up.

Maple neck in great condition - minimal fret-ware and a only a bit of checking in the binding. The frets are low profile (as opposed to jumbo ones) so action is incredibly low and smooth. Strung with 9's this Maple neck'd LP is one smooth player. The Bill Lawrence pickups crank - amazing tone and sustain.

Neck profile somewhere between 60's slim and 50's regular - not too skinny, not clubby either - very very comfortable to play.

Includes original hard case.

I'm conflicted about selling this one - was hoping to hold onto it for longer.

$3,500. negotiable.
