Based on custom bowling ball racks.

These examples are made from ceder - cause it smells awesome and is so light. Whole thing is predrilled - all you need is a screwdriver - takes about 20 minutes or so. The big boys hold circa 180 cymbals - much more then most of you own (I hope).

We are considering selling a much smaller version off the FRB site. Would be circa 40"x40"x20 consisting of two shelves. The lower shelf would hold between 20-25 cymbals sized between 10" - 24" in diameter (China or other strange shapes would mean less in total #). The upper shelf would hold 4 snares with small ends to prevent them from being pushed off.

Thinking the price would be $124.99 + $10.00 shipping to the lower 48. This would include all screws, pieces, etc. - similar to an IKEA setup.

I need a storage solution that I can keep my pesky 'lil cousins away from destroying during CNY

Got this 5 year old boy, damn naughty.. kept trying to 'stab' my snare drum with a stick. Told my aunty if there's any damage, I'll send her an invoice

cymbal bag's are actually better. in a humid place like singapore, it isnt good to keep your cymbals out in the open if you're not gonna use them soon

Depends. Mould can grow in bags too because of the fabric.
Safest would be to use ziploc or dehumidifier, if you're that concerned about humidity.

Bro Weckl I like this idea - Save more space then Cymbal tree (can put more), Cheaper than Cymbal Tree, Can add in location tags and I know straighaway where to locate my cymbal....looks good also - only one problem - If too many cymbals (you know lah - these expensive metal are so heavy) wait collapse - My Floor Pitcha (but this ok)...wait my cymbal benkok die liao....because it binded by wood/nails/screws.

Bro, this was originally designed for BOWLING BALLS

Here's what chris/Tariacuri had to say about it:

Nope - I have it fully loaded with circa 150 cymbals right now - could hold more. The more you put in the more stable it becomes. The basic design was originally created for bowling balls - meaning for the large racks 40 16lb bowling balls - or roughly 500lb's.
