ha totally agreed stp and gnr were good on their own.dunt get me wrong vr is good but it just cant match ppls expectation.and gnr is now is more like axl's solo band,.kinda sad..

Dudez, you cannot put Linkin Pork <---(i meant that) in the same category! Chester is not even talented!!! My god, I must be old school! But Linkin Park is not even talented...they are Pro-tools!
I'm dumbfounded right now! The bottom line is Axl has buying his chinese democracy until Slash and company agree to come back. We all know Buckethead is not nearly as tasteful as Slash...tone, tone, tone.....sigh! And thank god X japan did not utilize 4tus and Wes Borland...

Chester is a good vocalist in studio, but unfortunately on live shows he is singing out of tune most of the time. Another thing is that his vocal style and Velvet Revolver just won't go together. Velvet Revolver is a more rocka-rolla hard rocking band, whereas Chester and Linkin Park are the more modern nu metal stuff. They just don't fit.
We'd need someone like say, similar to Weiland. Maybe Chris Cornell?

I always thought Linkin Park was fine, I just think their vocalist is not too adept at singing live.

No one seems to be considering the fact that Bennington is doing pretty fine with Linkin Park and probably wouldn't leave them for VR. Personally, I feel Chris Cornell is kinda a tad restrained for VR, no...?

Really? I find his vocals rough enough, and he's more manly than Weiland that's for sure. VR might give him a chance to go crazy, though Audioslave was a really good band.

i know duff isn't exactly the most awesome vocalist ever, but itd be interesting to see him take vocals for one VR album by himself

VR is too 'hip' for chris cornell, and he doesnt have that 'bad boy' image unlike scott and axl
chris cornell had great chemistry with audioslave, its a pity they fell out due to financial reasons

Never liked Scott Weiland anyway. Would like Axl to return but this is probably next to impossible.
Izzy Stradlin should return, his kickass song writing talents will definitely bring back the good ol' days of the guys. Besides, both Izzy and Duff can sing, maybe they should consider this. I particularly like Duff's "guai-lan" attitude when he sings.
