i remember there was someone who wanted to get the van halen sound in one of the threads, and i happened to stumble upon this links, so i'll post the stuff here:

interesting to note a few things:
dummy load
the "frown" eq, and the 2 "smile" eqs. (For the confused, i think the author meant putting the EQ settings such that it looks like a frown or a smile. thou i must say it doesn't help that much without the freq settings.
