using firefox? want superspeed?

I found this at a power rangers (yes..PR) message board, seems to actually work.


1) Type "about:config" into the address bar and press enter. Look for these entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

2) change them like this:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 30

3) Finally, right-click anywhere and select New integer. NAme it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set it to 0.

hi dudes ..

i did some networking before and i dun think this is technically allowed.

as in you are tweaking ur maximum number of pipes to connect u to the server.

more pipes = greater bandwith = faster speeds

but the number of pipes is normally set to a fixed type per connection to the server / foreign server.

to put it in a nutshell ... its like adding more pipes to someone elses swimming pool to steal the water from his pool into yours ... somehow its like technically not allowed as its will screw up things on server side i think

to get it even faster ... y limit it to 30 ? put it at 100 ... i tried and its working fine at some really breakneck speeds...

haha yesh but do note .. cached pages ( pages the data thats u view before tend to load faster)
