Hi, we're in a semi-pro 5 man set-up looking to expand to 6, currently looking for a female keyboardist to complete the lineup. Our band currently consists of a male and female vox, 1 rhythm/lead guitar, 1 drums, 1 makeshift synthesizer player/bassist.
More about the band:
-Each of us holds a main job or is busy by day, so we're looking at jams only biweekly, or occasionally weekly if the situation requires.
-As part time serious musicians, we are geared towards 1 or 2 remunerated gigs a week at nightspots/establishments; unlikely to be looking at full time musicianship. We have also currently secured a slot for a monthly gig at a professional accounting firm's clubhouse with plans for upping the frequency.
-Our basic skill set includes relative pitching, pop theory and 3-part harmony. Most of us play-by-ear with at most basic solfege/chord sheet. Some of us had experience playing at pubs/nightspots.
-We play top 40s mainly, basically think Shaggies of le baroque, 53A of timbre, Goodfellas ...etc etc.
What we're looking for...
Female Keyboadrist pre-requisite
-Able to play by ear with relative pitch at least (assisted at most by solfege or chord sheet)
-Able to cope with 5-10 songs a week or 10-15 songs biweekly at least
-Good grasp of piano, string patches, and when required, synthersizer electronica sounds
-Ability to harmonize / play additional lead instrument (e.g. violin) would be a bonus
If this fits your bill, do drop me a contact at 98214969.
Urgent, as we're currently looking to complete the line-up ASAP before the gig, and in order to build repertoire for the long term.
Thanks!
