Upgrade or Buy new Guitar

i need some advice too. I own a LTD M-100FM and a Zoom G3 pedal, no amp though. Should I upgrade my guitar or get a new guitar (Rally GL-300) as it is hard to play drop tuning on the LTD which has a floyd rose. (sigh). So should i upgrade or buy the Rally? May consider buying an amplifier. Should i get the upgrade/guitar or amp first? Note: I can live without an amp.

for now i would advice you to get an amp. practice amp is enough.
then practice and sharpen your skills.when everything is done, u will know what to choose. (Y) cheers!

Hey, good advice but I thought of getting the Rally as a second guitar. Errrrr, im currently using headphones as it is easier to practice at home and i can't make too much noise at home. So, i think getting the guitar is better? hehe

Since you don't mind using headphones and u often change the tuning of your guitar, getting a non-FR guitar like Rally GL300 isn't really a bad idea. I personally don't like using headphones. Hehe.

Actually it is, i went down to sv and tryed an gl 400 with my shitty line 6 15 watts of crap and it scked. The guitar sounded very nice on a nice sound drive amp. So im thinking of a good amp

Actually it is...

What I mean is he is not really concerned about getting amp. He said he can live without one Haha.
But it is true that tube amp contributes a lot to the sound.. But you don't necessarily need to get a tube amp to get a good drive. Some of the solid states are good as well (e.g. Peavey Bandit 112).

Actually do you have a rough idea of what kind of tone you dun mind having? If you've a rough idea then I think it might be good to try out your guitar with another amp and also try out other guitars with your amp. Keep trying different ones to get something you like. If you dun really know what is satisfying, the urge to buy new gears will come again soon, IMHO, even you get anything now.

The situation seems similar to what I've been thru where I ended up buying loads of gears which nv satisfied me...
