Hello, is anyone here from UNSW Asia?
I need to interview someone who is for a project.
Anyone related to it will do, student, teacher, etc.
Mainly I will ask you about your feelings about the closure.

from what i heard , they decided this venture in singapore would not be profitable enough. Thus they withdrew the entire idea all together.

Luckily the students were given opportunities to re-apply in other schools like SMU, NUS , NTU etc... which all sportingly extended their admission application deadlines.

after their first yr complete, go Aus continue. and IF IM NOT WRONG (pardon me), the students are given air tickets to go there

the foreign students who went for foundation course got free scholarship if they move to UNSW in aussie...but for locals,they only refund the school fee...that's what i heard from a friend of mine [which is from that uni]

Your friend is wrong.
I've got from countless sources that foreign students get 12,000 dollar scholarship, and locals get 22,000 dollars. Only if they go to the Australian UNSW.
Maybe the news got lost in translation?

Anyway, yea, they basically shut down cos they didn't meet their goal of 300 students (they only got 148).
They screwed up bigtime, they have to pay scholarships, repay loans, remove the big campus they were planning to build, restore the big piece of land to it's original state. They gained nothing at all, quite sad.
