unneccessary noise with my pedal

Hello, I just bought a new delay pedal. I power it with a 9v adapter, with daisy chain to power other pedals. But I get unneccessary noise from the pedal. But when I use batteries its fine. Anyone can share something about this issue?

Could be your adaptor, or possibly the daisy chain. Try using the adaptor directly to the pedal. If it's not noisy, it's most likely gotta be the daisy chain.

On a side note, what delay pedal is that? I once used a Behringer one and it's noisy as hell, regardless of it being powered by battery or adaptor. Got a Boss DD-3 recently but no problems with it.

Your adapter might be unregulated and your pedal is unfriendly to unregulated power supply. Try powering your pedal with a regulated power supply adapter and hear from there if the hum would still exist.
