Tuner question

The higher the ratio the better. Kind of straight forward right?

Think about it.

The more sensitive the tuner, the more easily you can get in tune. Correct?

Then of course, you will have to take more turns on the tuner pegs... which can be tiring.

But its okay. Being in tune is > than tired fingers no?

I've used 21:1 ratio tuners before, very nice, very easy to get in tune... but I need a peg turner or I'll be too tired. Also, if you are using a floyd rose system, you don't need the high ratios.

Thanks, Shredcow...'coz I was looking at the prices for a 14:1 Grover and a 15:1 Gotoh...price for Grover was more expensive...this question then came out. But I figured it could be the name of Grover that brings the price up...

Check the tuner slots on whatever guitar you are retrofitting these tuners on...

Gotta get similiar products.

If anything else, Gotohs are fine - found on plenty of higher end Ibanez guitars.

And that 21:1 ratio tuners I mentioned? Gotoh Delta series tuners... beautiful and... i think i paid 100SGD (excluding shipping) for them. If you got a non-locking bridge system, the Delta series is fabulous.

Cool...I currently got a Grover Deluxe green keystone fitted...I wanna change it into a Gotoh Vintage white button...not sure if it'll fit though the baseplate is the same.
