Tuner can't tune

Hi need some help here. I recently bought a clip on tuner for my acoustic at davis and it cant tune some notes like d. What should I do? Its a chromatic tuner.

Hi need some help here. I recently bought a clip on tuner for my acoustic at davis and it cant tune some notes like d. What should I do? Its a chromatic tuner.

Before we say return it to Davis, please do the following:
- Do not tune with a pick, use your fingers to pluck the string.
- dampen/mute all the other strings when tuning.
- wait for a second or 2 before plucking the string again as some tuners are slow to pick up.

If these does not help, return the tuner to Davis.

1. check/change battery

2. is that particular string enjoying a lot of fret buzzing? the tuner might have a hard time reading a buzzing string

3. did you clip properly on the headstock? or try another position on headstock?

4. did you accidentally changed mode on tuner (if you tuner have different modes i.e. auto, manual)?

5. are you tuning the guitar the proper method? if you are not sure do consult a more experienced player or search guitar tuning on youtube

6. maybe the tuner dun like you

^ haha! i'd be damn sad if no. 6 happened to me. So, kokz, how's the tuner now?
