Hai guys.
Just a tube question.
is the tube warming up process related to the standby switch?
if this is so, then why do the tube powered pedals and a 5w crate tube powered amp that i own do not have the standby switch?

Because there are two kinds of tubes, pre-amp and power tubes. Pre-amp tubes do not require a warm up time while a power tube does. The power section of a HT-5 does not use a real power tube (It uses a 12BH7 as one) like a El34, EL84 or 6L6, so it does not require a standby switch.

Lol ht-5 head got standby switch. My ht-dist doesn't.
Pre amp tubes..
a tube pedal cannot be counted as a preamp right.

Yes, it can be used as a pre-amp.
