Tube amp situation

Hi ppl,

Okay so i recently bought a Vox AC4TV and a zoom G7.1ut from City Music's year end sale. Went home set the whole thing up, turn on, and i've got massive humming.

As in, i'm not touching my strings, and there's this nasty hum thats coming out from the amp. I mute the strings and the humming is gone. The moment i touch any string ever so lightly, there's this humming pop sound (Don't know how to describe).

The stock amp socket plug is the two pin type. Could that be the cause of the problem?

Or could it be something else?

Please help! Was so looking forward to messin' around with my new gear and this is a major turn off.

Many Thanks!!!

hmmmm...but it seems the plug is the molded plastic head type? I don't see any screws whatsoever? I can just bring the cable itself to any store and ask them to convert for me?

You can get 3 pin head from hardware stores too.. Or supermarkets like NTUC or Giant.

If the head is molded, you will have to cut the original head off and solder the wires to the new head.
