tsunami might hit sg

You believe this tripe? he's just jealous of Singapore.

Mr. Tsunami would have to submerge compeletely parts of indonesia before even touching Singapore.

well i suppose singapore's geographical position & state proves the country to be reasonably safe. bt ofcourse therez no telling when fortune turns its back.

TSUNAMI KILLS!!! it can even collapse concrete stuctures..BEWARE!!but i think chances of sg getting hit is 10 out of 100 XDD

mero, don't like that lar... kinda rude u know.

no la, just stating the facts. and the phrase "kthnxbye" is quite well-known, it's meant as a joke hahahahahaha.

some of you are just ignorant man...what you should do is grab a map of south east asia and look for nicobar islands...because thats where the supposed epicenter will be...then diagonally down towards the right, follow the trail of the sea and you will eventually reach western malaysia and northwestern singapore...and i'll give you a grand total of $0.01 if you can spot any island or land which could apparently be an obstruction.

in layman's terms, theres only one direct route a.k.a northsouthhighway from nicobar islands to singapore so whatever happens there, we will still get the tsunami, but it may not be as powerful because the straits of johor is narrow but it would definitely be much higher and thats bad enough because most of singapore is not high ground.

Thought i should share this piece of fascinating knowledge i received from my trip to China:

There's this tortoise looking creature made of pure Jade in Nanjing where i visited, that was built in memory of an emperor. 10 days before the Tsunami, there was water coming down from the left eye, all the way dripping to the belly. Prior to the disaster, people were very fascinated. In fact, it was such a phenomenon that live broadcasts were on TV and foreign experts were invited to view it. I, myself, recalled seeing it on Channel U's News. Nanjing is known to have the best "feng-shui" in China, and Chinese and foreign "feng-shui" masters were called in when there was no scientific explanation for the "tears" of the tortoise. As i learnt in china, natural jade do not absorb any fluid of any sorts, including water. So there was no scientific explanation for the water to flow out of the jade tortoise. One of the "feng-shui" master concluded that there was a huge presence of the Water essence in feng-shui teachings along the coast of Nanjing, and there's a geographical path that the shape of Nanjing takes. Upon inspecting satellite images, it was at the very origin of the Tsunami that coincided with the path the feng-shui masters predicted. There were video footages and CNN coverage footages at the museum i visited, so i was rather intrigued and stunned. 10 days after tears first rolled down the tortoise's eyes, which was also the first day of the tsunami, tears stopped dripping down from the tortoise's eyes, and what is left behind is a water marking. It's still there.. go google it. It's the Ming Xiao Ling Tomb in Nanjing.

Food for thought..

singapore wat u waiting for!! GO bUILD A JADE TURTLE!!!!
heh heh

hey wat's all this crap acronyms? "kthnxbye" "kkthxbye" wat do they mean..

Don't mention it afterdeath, i'm still shaken by the knowledge!

It's really scary, i got it all filmed on video. Then again, there are cynics who say these are gimmicks. Doesn't matter whether they are or not, they just make life so much more interesting.

From Urbandictionary.com

Kthxbye :
A word that stems from the phrase "k thx, bye" (and it's derivitives), which are bastardisations of "ok thanks bye".

This uttering is commonly associated with so-called IRC "lamers" (see lamer) renouned for the overuse of retarded abbreviations (such as the above) during chat sessions.

It is used extensively in IRC geek humour and in-jokes. See the example.
plz2b dieing, kthxbye
<martin> i r not on ipv6 KTHXBYE!!!!

hey guys. i was reading abt that meteor u guys were talking abt.

check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_MN4 ...

summary of what i understand
estimated impact they say is 2029 or 2036 ... i don't really understand what they write. but the probability of impact is rated between 1 in 37 to 1 in 300... the diameter of the thing is abt 350m (that's fuckin huge... but the one which killed of the dinosaurs is 10km.) power of impact: abt 65500 times of little boy hiroshima atomic)... and here's one big fact : IF IT WAS TO HIT, IT MIGHT BE AT THE EASTERN HEMISPHERE (UTC time zone btween +3 and +10)... SINGAPORE is +8.

sorry if its scary to hear. but there we have it. hopefully nothing happens though. hope u guys find this useful.
