You can't go wrong with either if you're after the 'mid-hump' overdrive tone. Granted, I use a Japanese SD-1 that has bested too many boutique pedals in the same vein.

They're both so similar and so cheap it doesn't matter (at least in terms of newer production versions)

Nevertheless, try to source out for used ones. They go considerably cheap.

Actually ... they're not really dat similar soundwise...~
