Truss Rod tool for Gibson Les Paul...

Hi there, setup gurus, experts, hobbist, experimentalist...

I am facing some problem adjusting my truss rod for my gibson les paul as it is not the typical "insert allen key in and turn".

instead of the "female" hollow type, it is the male type, which requires a female (of cos hehe) type of tool.

I have this kinda tool actually, and used on other guitars b4. However, fail on this gibson as the distance between the tip of the truss rod and the wood is very very narrow, this my tool is not able to fit in.

Could you recommend me any tool which is suitable to buy pls?

Juju,

most Gibson come with an adjustment tool included.

Normal tools may not be ideal as it won;t fit as you have found out.

Alternatively, you can get one on ebay or check with folks at Swee Lee (i doubt it though)

you're right, none available @ swee lee... Davis might have it.

i have one at home. bought from allparts. never used before.

I'll never own any gibson so if you want it, cheap cheap sell you lah.

Buy online. Else from someone else from soft. Don't bother to go ask local shops. Be prepared from scarsam if you try.
