Tru-Oil Finishing Project

Tung oil gives a slightly more matt feel. But for necks, I like to polish down with buffing compound for that satin feel anyway. They both work about the same way. Tru oil however is thicker compared to Tung oil (at least the variation I used is). You can also can pure tung oil from the DIY shop in shaw tower. It takes too long to cure though. Just get a big tin of coldrons danish oil. More than enough to finish many necks and body.

Tung oil also ages to a golden hue.

The back of the neck is finish with tung oil. I will try and get a better picture when I am more free.
