troubleshooting with fried cs-3

it is possible for a signal from a distortion pedal to fry a pedal after it?

my friend's cs-3 became a low output distortion pedal after he connected it diectly behind a metal muff with full volume and full distortion.

i'm not sure if the audio signal screwed it or the power supply did.

help with info any1?

Many tings can go wrong in your case but I doubt it's because of the pedal's signal sent to the cs3 that cozd it.

Common causes may include;

1. Faulty input jack
2. Faulty Output Jack
3. Faulty Pot
