Atleast i got your attention!

Anyways, recently i bought a fender stratocaster and now i get a lovely tremolo to play with, but the thing is i think maybe tremolo got slight doozy.

before im not much of a tremolo user cus my other guitar is a les paul, and when i use the tremolo the strings start to de-tune! but not down, up! then when i bend the strings, playing lead etc, they correct themselves again!

crazy, i dont know if this is normal or what or whether i have to continue adjusting the guitar preferences. the shop said by rollers for the neck near the head stock. or something like that, i dont remember.

any one help? :? :?

Hmm.

Maybe you could list out the scenario:

1. what type of strat? Standard? Deluxe? Highway1? MIM/MIJ?
2. are the strings stock / used / new?
3. how you use the tremolo: depress bar / pull bar
4. what kind of string trees you are using

Not very informative, your current scenario.

mann - if u gonna dive bomb - get a strat with floyd rose locking system...

HEY WHAT DYA KNOW ... I mite have a nice black 2 humbucker 1991 original YAMAHA RGX 420 with flod rose for sale at hmmm.... $500

hmm..sometime mine also like that..i think need to oil the nut of sth...or maybe cuz of lousy tunner peg...lols...mine i on B and G strings...they both always out of tune when i use e tremolo bar...

Your strings are catching on something. Either at the bridge or nut. It shouldn't be the tuners because they go back in tune after you bend the strings right?

*No*, you dont have to ditch the strat, and *No* whammy bar stunts need not be done only on a floyd rose. Back up your opinions.

Just a simple inspection by a guitar tech will do the job. It could be due a variety of factors, some being bad tuning pegs, intonation, bad bridge etc.

Will cost you a little, but worth it.

Just to let you know, Ive been whammying my way off on my super strat, and it stays in perfect tune.

aha..yes i agree with you...to buy a good guitar is 1 thing..to set up a guitar is another thing..

Hey kzy, same strings as me dude. Mine is a Fender Strat made in Mexico. Erm, that about all i know dude. I think its the nut, strings are brand new Ernie Balls', maybe cus its brand new guitar the, what-you-ma-call-it near the headstock gotta wear abit? errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. will take it to Guitar 77 or something soon, but at todays jam it didnt bother me that much, so maybe i got wear it in a bit. haha. other than that the sound is awesome, thnx for everyones help, EXCEPT AzNjT!!! your comment isnt exactly helpful, but thanx for your concern.
