Travis Barker.The best punk rock drummer?

take away travis barker, and you've got nothing but a crappy singer and four chords.

he's really the only person worth listening to in blink182. he made that band what it is today. but he really has to stop hitting so hard and use mics or something. seriously. he's gonna put himself out of business really soon if he keeps it up. I saw those vids with him playing with one arm and it's hilarious that he still plays like that when he knows it'll lead to injury, possible carpal tunnel syndrome.

oh yeah. funny how a thread like this can have people posting irrelevant nonsense and start flame wars, eh?
 
haha yup.. blink is nothing without travis. but yeah i agree he is the BEST punk drummer to me.. hey grace are you from TJC?
 
He's good coz he brought more technical stuff into punk drumming, but I feel he's drifting away as a musician sometimes...
That stupid ass reality TV show and all.

And recently, he looks high all the time...

do you guys know that travis actually prefers rap and hip hop music rather to pop punk?well at least plus 44 is far better than ava dude.ava is like too serious for me.
 
wow he's impressive. erm if his other arm gets injured too maybe he could play with his legs? LOL that'll be pretty cool

Saw this posts and was attracted to it right away, i guess like me you're a big travis fan, he's one of the reasons i started playing the drums. I watched all of his videos over and over again, read about him over and over again, read about his styles in hip-hop, his love for punk rock etc etc. And i guess he's really inspirational, to me at least.

Even though he's an idol of mine, i know he's not the best out there, because there are so many drummers out there. So many great drummers too, like Steve Gadd, Buddy Rich. But punk rock drummer i would think he's the best. IMO that is.

And is hitting hard on the drums a bad habit??? Some enlightenment anyone?
 
hey...another travis fan...haha..i guess i i also dun play soft on the drums..lol...my bands thinks i am smashing the life out of the drums.
 
Doesnt matter if hes the BEST or not.. but hes definately entertaining to watch.. and its pretty much what matters nowadays.. ENTERTAINMENT

a broken leg didnt stop him from playing.. neither will a broken arm.. thats passion right there !

P.S yea he is my fav drummer.. tre cool is good too with his "stoned" face..
