Touch

Hiya folks....

another question from the newbie.

I know that the touch of a pianist/keyboardist is very impt. Coz I sound like crap even when I play everything right. Feel that my sound like not very clean. Also discourages me from playing the harmonisation coz I feel I sound crappy.

How do I work on it? Or would it just naturally get better when I've played long enough?

or a video of your hand position actually ... it'll be easier to comment for us =)

but ... if u don't have a proper training, usually .. yea ..... your finger will have difficulty to be controlled ....and it'll be weak ..

errhhmmm....wanted to post a recording....but think go technical fault...hang on

can't really see ur hand so can't comment about technical stuff, but from what i heard .... i think that u haven't got a freedom in playing what you played.

anyway, did you learn by yourself? actually, with a good teacher, even if you're learning a pop approach, you can still learn a correct technique. (but i doubt it though, a good teacher is very rare, since even a classical piano teacher in yamaha that teach a girl who came to me to audition, have a very very weak finger, and the technique is all wrong. And to think that this girl has learn for 1 year .... what a loss ... now she has to work hard to erase all those bad habit .... haiz ....)

to all those kind of teacher!!!! (grade 8 teacher etc)
could you PLEASE don't teach if you yourself don't know a thing? ....
for you to get a job and to get a living, you're sacrificing your student!! ...
music education is an important thing, and it's not a joke....

completing grade 8 is like completing your highschool education, and no highschool graduates can teach in primary or secondary school eh? ....

Yep...my fingers not v strong. Any finger exercise suggestions?

I think I sound quite tense as well. As what my teacher usually says. It's only these couple of weeks since I started learning from him that I get comfortable enough to play before him without my fingers shaking. Heehee...... that's my problem.
