Toto's Breakup

Any Toto fans here? I mean Toto, the Grammy award winning band. I was dying to see them live in concert but couldn't and now they've broken up. They've been a really talented band going through up and downs (changes in musicians, unpopular fan base in the US, different commitments) and really making their mark on the music stage in general. My favourites include "Africa", "Pamela", "I'll be over you", "Georgy Porgy", "Stop Loving You" and their latest hit "Bottom of your soul".

Any thoughts on Toto? Also, are they are bands/musicians covering their songs?

toto's a real great band with lots of talent and musicianship. it sad to see them go really. its really hard to cover toto(thats what i feel especially the vocal harmonisation), but i have seen tania, the band at harry's orchard tower do a rosanna cover and it was sweet.

My friends caught them in cebu in april i think, shortly after i left there. Little would we know they would catch them on one of their last tours...

The earlier version of "Africa" yeah after a while it was for the history books. But later live versions, especially during their Falling in Between tour, were by far superb.

I know they were in SG twice, but I was unlukcy not to be around evne then.

im pretty happy that i got to catch damn live before they disbanded. it was a great show especially when they all came in with a bang with falling in between.
