Toto Africa: live or playback

Hey, I'm a Toto Fan a recently found this youtube video of their famous single Africa:

There's a huge debate on the comments section whether Bobby Kimball was really singing the Chorus live or whether it is a playback of their studio version. I say it's a live performance.

Can any season musician care to share his/her thoughts?

i think it'd be easier for him to sing den to lip sync which he might be more prone to mistakes

I say is studio version. The chorus is too perfect, too crisp and clear already. Until 3.47 then bobby sings lead, then you could hear it clearly.
