tone shaping pedals recommendations

sorry for the wall of text!!

ok, I used to own a Hartke Bass Attack, and when it comes to tone shaping, I extremely happy with it because it has pretty good controls for tone shaping - there's the EQ section, then there's the harmonics knob for tube-like harmonics, and there's the shape knob, which affects the sound the most.

I sold it off coz I bought a Hartke 3500A amp which is a hybrid, having a real tube pre-amp section, which i swapped out the stock sovtek 12ax7wa tube to a much rounder, warmer sounding J/J ecc83s tube, and I absolutely love the tone I get out from that.

So for me, tone is no problem when playing at home, i really love the tone of the J/J tube + the hartke 3500a amp.

It also used to be at the practice studio, they have a hartke 5500 amp which has the tube pre-amp section as well, so no problems.

Recently, we changed practice venues, and the new studio only has a G-K backline amp. Ok, I've never tried G-K stuff before, and I heard the actual G-K series is pretty good, especially their GK700RBII amp, but the amp at the studio is the Backline series, which is GK's cheaper lower quality budget series, and I don't like the tone of it.

So that brings me to thinking about getting a tone shaping pedal, so that I can tweak it to get the sound I want, and leave the settings on the Backline totally flat.

I kinda want to buy back the Hartke Bass Attack pedal, coz for the price, i'm really happy with the tone I can get from that.

But i also want to ask you all if you have any good recommendations for tone shaping pedal that are good - by good, i mean you like the sound, and there are specific knobs for doing tone shaping - (like the shape and harmonics knob, etc...) other than just a normal EQ section?

sorry for the wall of text!! and thanks in advance!!

sansamp or maybe the aguilar tone hammer may have what you want... they have a pretty strong character of their own so you could try those out
