i know this is a noob qns but .. how do i set a booster settings?

im currently using blues driver as boost but somehow .. when i on or off it ... it almost sounds the same

a booster functions as such- it adds subtly to drive/ distortion. if you are expecting a big leap, you're missing the point.

the user is also accountable for a no-difference response when employing a booster; make sure you do not set the primary drive source (eg: amp/ another pedal) at maximum drive settings.

depends on the type of boosters- your Blues Driver is a drive-type booster so it adds drive. there are clean boosters as well.

Yes, a good booster, imho should

1) Add volume without driving the sound man crazy (in a gig situation)
2) Add a little bit of dirt without overtly affecting your main guitar tone (drive type boosts like your blues driver)

Clean boosts before drive pedals add harmonics and sustain and compression

3) Preserve overall dynamics
