Some of the softies saidi t's comparable to even fender strats. (correct me if I'm wrong, but even paul danial himself has positive comments on it)

dude, u don't have to cre8 another seperate thread asking abt timbre... stick to this one.
there IS a thread on reviews of timbres... they're great sounding guitars which really amazed me. and yes, some even consider they sound better than squiers do. avoid the ibanez starter kits as they could cost some little trouble for you heh. squier 300+ rite?
top up u're budget go get a nice flamed maple top schecter haha.

ok peace XD

hmm... timbre..

there are 3 models currently, the 108, 109 and 200. the staff of standard value highly recommend SR200.

there is a new comparism to be made,

The Samick Greg interceptor Korean made(Used $180)
The Timbre Strat copy SR108/109/200 China made (new, $189/290)

As u can see, if i get the timbre SR200, i will be spending $110 more. I heard that the interceptor isnt bad too. Personally one of the best budget guitar.

What do u think?

mike highly recommended his timbre sr200 to me, its built is supposingly fantastic, though i myself have not went down personally to try...

the previous timbre strat thread is lost somewhere at page 20+ to 30+ i dun really know, but its users really say its very good.

most compare it to a MIM strat, and some even to the older MIJs...

twang wise, it is also there...

it features a slim neck which is slimmer then the 108...

pups are hot and nice (think thats about all i know about the detailed specs, maybe you can give mike a call?)

haha i've done all the research, emailing i could, but have not gone down to woodlands LOL. i HIGHLY recommend you try it before the samick, cause i'm confident you wont waste time testing the samick after you test the timbre:)

sry if this sounds like an add, lol.

U can try the squier n the timbre at mike's place, im not sure if he has the samick.

I went to take a look onli, considering i alr have a MIJ fender strat. I was more like looking for a tele, but long story short, i came home with the timbre. Cost me 290, but its worth more than that.

Plus, not just the guitar, but MIKE sets it up for u swee swee, action n all. He help me to set up for gauge 10s too. He is very careful with his work too.

Woodlands is damn far, but the guitar is worth travelling there. U be blown off lah, of course i hope u dont read all our comments, go there n hope to expect a custom shop standard

agreed with the above. i went there to check out the timbre only. but got home with it. nice sounding. though i'm a lp fella, but just get it for a diff kinda sound.

sir- with the imminent SWEE LEE sale happening in less than 24hrs, i'd suggest, you drop by the warehouse (nevermind if you come later) & take a look at the Std Squiers there 8)

the are good Cort guitars to be had too.

Hey
thanks for all ur replies.

Timbre SR200 bought, for 290.

Wonderful guitar!

I went there to check out the sound, and decided to buy it on the spot.

Its really like OMG! Wows me! SErious!

What i did today is my friend played a $800 Fender Jap on a 60W SD amp, and me with the timbre on a 40W SD, and surprisingly! i cant really hear a significant difference! Seriously, u woundnt believe it until u try it! If u turn to ur back, u will think the sound are from the same guitar!

TImbre!! The stock pickups are super powerful! no point modding. There is a modded Timbre at Standard value, and it doesnt really sound as good as stock to me.

Fender Jap = SR200?
but $800 no= $290

HAHA!! TOLD YA!!!!!!!!

so did you try the samick in the end?? hahahaha.... timbre. i'm definitely getting it myself... :)
