as like what my bro ay bro mentioned, they are indeed a boyband, before the age of boyband! Malcolm Mclaren is a business man, sex pistol is just a marketable product at that time. Selling of an image, the manipulation of youth angst against the social backdrop of that era.

i think much of their punk image came from sid vicious. he was lyk the epitome of punk. he couldnt play the bass for nuts, but he still got into the band after matlock was sacked. simply becos of his image, which the band knew could attract a wider fanbase. sid was the "biggest fan" of the pistols before he joined.

anyways, theres a documentry abt sid vicious on discovery or nat geo some time ago, f-ing interesting. talking abt his last 48 hrs on earth or sumtin.

and well..basically 90% of sex pistols is just sid vicious imho.
theres a film bout him and his junkie gf titled sid & nancy long time back. should check it out. reminds me of kurt & courtney for some reasons
