Those Looking For Gigs

I notice alot of bands looking for gigs, especially new bands. Since my band was at that situation once, i understand u guys. This is what i propose, we book a studio at Lcube (the BIG one) maybe for a few hours, the bands that are performing share the cost. We let people come in free of charge. This way, new bands can get a gig experience. What say you??? pm me with details of ur band!
 
this can be their first 'gig'. and a stepping stone. but i want committed bands, who are not expecting to be paid.... all im asking for is that if u want to play and showcase ur talent u have to chip in for the rental of a studio for the gig to take place (not necesry to be lcube).
 
Hey there - I second your idea, and I am in a band myself and I realize how frustrating it is when youre all set to go, but theres no avenue to show your talent.

I personally have no idea about the venue at Lcube, and not too sure if the people there will be accomodating to allow big crowds into their studio. But Im sure we can work around. Any other suggestions?
 
i've checked out that studio website too and its looked awesome..
but do not know about the rate..

and atheist, your idea seems great..
that way bands can get along together..

how about genre?

nth is confirmed yet guys... bt i want to make this small gig FOC. so any bands interested please pm ur bands myspace link(hope theres a demo). this gig is especially for young bands trying their best to get gigs. and im really looking for commitment here guys.
 
about the genre... im looking for bands that play.. punkrock/emocore/post-hardcore/metalcore and so on. basically, not the usual kinda music normal people listen too.

eventhough our songs on myspace aren't up to standard because we did our recordings at home using home pc and drum samples..
and we are now in studio doing our EP
so keep a look out for it yaw?;)

its great that every band may enter the room and watch each other play..

but have u guys check out the gig @DXO ??
 
forget about DXO, forget about redbar.... bla bla.... if we hold a gig there we will end up in square one where we have to ask the bands to sell 30 tix to play n shit. i wanna make this gig FREE OF CHARGE. a gig for the kids who are struggling to play at gigs because they cant reach the minimum ticket requirments. all i am asking is that the bands chip in for the rental of the studio. anyone willing to help me out in this???

I would like to remind you... although this gig is free of charge, bands who are playing must chip in to book for the studio. any questions just pm me. venue would be most likely at Lcube on the 15th of december. for those kids who cant get gigs elsewhere.... heres your chance!!! cmon!!!
