I know standard wiring for humbucker is green and bare to grd, black and white together and red to selector. But what do those wires represent actually? I mean what are those black or white for, etc.
Can I say that each black and white coloured wires actually belong to each of the coil in the humbucker? And If I need a single coil effect of a humbucker I can use any of the wire depending on which coil I want to use? Just a hantam bola guess.
I am a genius!! So what I need to do next is figure out which wire belongs to which coil..or you could help by just telling me the answer.. but what about the green wire? Can I say its identical to the red one and if I swap thier positions it doesn't make any difference?
uh.
Its relative to the brand. As what you said, Dimarzio and Duncans have different wire colour codes.
Well, you know there are different wirings for humbuckers. You do it differently, you end up wiht a split coil (or a dead coil) or the thing is in parallel... or out of phase... so yeah, find out the correct colour code.
