Well, last wk i watched 40 awesomely bad #1 songs ever on mtvasia n i think awesomely bad means the song is bad but people still love the song...Guess what is the 40 awesomely bad #1 songs? Its our fav dance song Los Del Rio's Macarena. I still remember those days during children's day, all the kids in my school were force to do the macarena. hahaha.

After watching the show earlier, I did agree that some of the band songs in there deserved to be voted as bad. But most of them were from hair metal bands though. Honestly I was abit irritated with the show. Cause most of the time, they always kept mentioning about metal needed to be associated with drugs, sex, eating a head of a bat and anything that is satanic related. Somehow I find that a bit subliminal at the same time.

And how ironic, number 1 in the list: Europe - The Final Countdown. They said that metal can never have keyboards in them. What about Children Of Bodom or Dream Theater?

Oh well, my 2 cents worth I guess.

True.. But it is true that keyboards aren't supposed to be used in Black Metal as it is a taboo.. But the show sucked badly. Only a few bands were METAL, the others i consider rock

yea those tr00 norwegian bm bands like mayhem shun the use of keyboards but bands like emperor n dimmu borgir revolutionised bm in a way that it had synths yet it still sounded evil, but more epic at the same time.

but of course the die hard bm-ers hated that because they felt it wasnt tr00 or raw enough.

but for me, i think emperor is genius.
