This is me...

I tot you could do better than tis?

Perhaps you chose the wrong song to cover? Gd try nonetheless.

*off to throw the bag*

I think you need a better mic!

Seriously, take note on the flats and endings of each phrase. A decent monitoring might help a lil. Practice!

you sound okay. i think the problem is you tend to go flat. and there's hardly any emotion in your singing, i feel.

your voice.. lack of practise. if you do practise, then it's not enough hehe.

basically like what others say, the "flatness" , I only heard your tina arena - burn cover, it's not an easy song but it's a good song to practise with as there's "low" and "highs" in that song and the feel of the song from "upclose-and-intimate" verses to the climax chorus asking ppl to burn. (just nice 7th month. j/k) .

so you might wanna practise with a tuner , and practise the song over and over on the high notes, you often go flat after singing "I want you to burn (high)" then "like a candle in my life" (low = flat) , so practise sing high and low til you sorta "seasoned" extending both range ends of your vocals. you can take it slow, literally. that means you sing this "burn" song at twice the slower tempo, get each word's pitch right first (until all of us can fall asleep) , then slowly speed up as time goes , experience comes.

also it does sound like you're shouting to get the pitch right. practise everyday and you won't need to "shout".

one more thing, as a vocalist (i'm not sure if you're covering the songs for fun or not) , but when you're armed with a mic, you might wanna practise pulling away the "microphone" (in your case your hp) so it doesn't distort too often.

dude, the chorus shocked the hell out of me..lolz..!

anyway, i think u're using more of ur throat when u're in ur low..how bout using more of ur diaphragm too..

and i'm hoping u're not singing thru ur nose much to sing(especially on ur lows after the 1st chorus)..

I'm not a pro..but it's juz some basics i guide myself when my singing gets messy again..=)

thank you guys for the comments. damn i sure hope you lower your speaker volume before hearing it. haha...and yes i do lack practise, havent been singing for awhile.

flatness - yes, i tend to go flat. will practise on that.

shouting - agreed, does seem like i'm shouting. but im not. seriously, i'm not. lol.

mic/hp - i do pull away on mics. and my hp, i can't put it any further from my mouth. not unless i put it waaaaaaay across the room. hahaha....!

nose - yes, i sing through my nose and interchange when needed, cuz my vocal range are very limited via diaphragm only.

but thanks again! shall make more recordings.....

btw, i listened to my recording of Burn again, and you guys are right. it was horrid!! hahaha....wth possesed me to put it up, god only knows.

okie, random ranting. heh.

I did lower my speaker and the chorus of Burn still shot out ....

call me an idiot if U will (again) but U need work on your vocals

oh yeah I forgot, the Handphone's microphone is VERY sensitive..

now I recall why one shouldn't whisper to someone beside to lie to another person on the phone.
