Thinking of ordering a Jcraft Strat thru TYMC

You may want to look at the specs of Edwards strats instead of Fender Japan. Their strats(i tried two, one actually is my #1 guitar) seem to have more natural feel over most Japanese fenders as they have less lacquer on the neck and body.

I think TYMC can also order for you. Or Davis. I bought my SRV relic Edwards strat at Davis 2 years ago and up to now it's still my number 1 strat. I changed the pu's to Bareknuckle Apaches at about the same time I bought it and it's a very versatile guitar with it. I had the 2nd tone control wired to the bridge pu. I played Hendrix, Incubus, 311(blue album), nirvana, and many others cover songs on it in gigs and it held up pretty well.

As for the Edwards regular strats, I like the fact that they are thinly finished and their electronics are good. They even come stock with super switches based on their website.

I've always been a fan of Fender Jap and ST54 LS is a great model. But the price hike of Fender Japs have never sat well with me.

But I'm not sure if you need suggestions on the guitar model or the reliability of ordering through TYMC.

If it's the former, it's a good choice and that's all I can say. Nothing further will make sense because guitar-choices are pretty subjective.

If it's the latter, then I can assure you completely that TYMC is one of the most reliable places around.
I know them personally and I can vouch for them, so no worries there. Everything is transparent and highly reliable.

Hope this helps.
