The sloppy 7 string guitars help

I recently bought my 1st 7 string guitar which was tuned to A and Im new to the world of 7 strings.
I replaced the strings to D'addrios XL strings. The gauge is 0.009-0.054. I manage to get the B tuning with my floyd rose bridge aligned but the strings seems loose and sloppy.
Should i change the gauge? But i cant find any other gauge available for 7 strings around. Well i need some help and information from fellow 7 stringers softies.

Change your guage. :)

There's 10 - 60. Its a .60 I think, can't recall.

I use 9 - 54 on an RG7621, which is a fixed bridge, and I'm a light player, so it works out very nicely for me.

Go to Davis, they have guage .10.

Well Shred cow, I did went to davis sometime back and only saw the 0.009 gauge around. There were only 2 brands for 7 strings. Do u remember what
brand u saw? Any other shops that i could take a look?

hmmm? There was SIT strings, .10 guage... my friend only uses them and gets them from Davis. :)

You could get a GHS Zakk Wylde 6 string set, its 10 - 60, then buy a seperate string to fill in...

Look, it's very simple. Go buy your nstrings by singles... 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 30, 20, 10 or whatever. Experiment and find what's best for you!

Its not rocket science !
