The Local Scene: 1970s

Hi guys! I need help. I tried searching all over the net for information of the 70s music scene in Singapore. But all I got was the 60s. For a school final assignment (yesssahhh!) I have to do a presentation on any chosen topic. I want to choose 70s music, and the bonus marks would be awarded if we give Singapore examples. However, as previously mentioned, I would be less passionate to dive into the 60s music. Though if I have no choice, it'll be the 60s.

Anyway, my presentation is on Thurs. But I just need names of Singapore, or regional bands that primed in the 70s to kick start my research.

I would stick to 60's if I were you. If I remember correctly, 70's was a "bad and unproductive" period for local music as not many local musicians made the scene. Or you can try the 80's instead...in the likes Sweet Charity, Gingerbread, Tokyo Square, Zircon Lounge, Heritage, etc.

Check out Western Union Band. They were popular in the 70s.
